At a press conference on Tuesday, Yard Management Solutions exhibited its yard management software’s latest features.
The YMS Magic Dock can simplify operations’ scheduling processes. An automated dock door scheduler, it automatically assigns appointments to various dock doors, according to specific rules and organizes trailer sequencing.
In addition to YMS Magic Dock, the software has new safety maintenance features, such as equipment condition monitoring. Providing real-time visibility, it helps operations determine which yard equipment they need to repair or replace. Meanwhile, a color-coded trailer condition keys feature enables easy identification of any unsafe equipment and prevents usage.
To enhance operational efficiency, YMS is preparing to release AI Insights later this year. During the press conference, executives discussed the software module, which will offer actionable insights. Through these insights, users can determine which aspects negatively impact their DCs’ and warehouses’ throughput and then respond accordingly.
“Each of these features are changing the game for operations that prioritize organization, safety and efficiency, leading to long-term supply chain success,” said Colin Mansfield, VP at Yard Management Solutions.
